“Fog Catchers”

We were at the Atacama desert between August and September 2023. We made contact with new partners from Chile. We talked about our idea for a larger project aimed at simultaneously studying the plants of the Atacama and Namib Deserts. To find out if there are any convergences between the plants of the two deserts belonging to the ancient continent Gondwana.
The picture left shows Tillansia landbekii with a mini Data Logger which collected data on the microclimate inside the plant.
